Delhi is all set to become a breeding ground for hotels and major infrastructural developments in preparation for 2010 Commonwealth Games.
According to global real estate advisor DTZ, there will be a need of at least 7000 rooms in NCR during the games. There will be an additional need for 10412 star rooms for foreign tourists and 2366 star rooms for domestic tourists as it is estimated that there will be 18 lakh foreign tourists and 358 lakh domestic tourists. In anticipation of this demand, Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has auctioned many hotel sites in the NCR in the recent past.
